Council Wants Flat Integrated Market to Be Realized

Jakarta DPRD, asking Jakarta Provincial Government will soon realize the flat construction integrated with traditional market belongs to PD Pasar Jaya.

We surely support, as long as it is for the sake of the people

Jakarta DPRD Commission D Chairman, Iman Satria said his side always supports the city's step in providing facilities and infrastructures for convenience of Jakarta residents, including flat construction above the market.

"We surely support, as long as it is for the sake of the people," he stated, Thursday (9/28).

Similar statement also comes from Jakarta DPRD Commission D member, Bestari Barus. He assessed, the flat construction integrated with the market can provide convenience and comfort for the people.

"Hopefully it can be realized soon. The Bylaw about Development of Pasar Jaya is still being discussed. If it is completed, Pasar Jaya can do activities to make the market under and above housing," he stated.

He added the flat construction above the market is one solution to meet the needs of residents' dwellings, as land in the capital has been very limited.

"In Jakarta, we have difficulties to find land of horizontal. So it needs to be built flat tower to meet the needs of residents' dwellings," he closed.
